Do I need to pay for all employees on my database?

foundU only charges for active users. This means you only pay for employees that are entitled to be paid (weekly or monthly) and can store as many candidates on your logistics workforce management platform as you need without increasing your costs.

Can my warehouse and distribution centre employees have multiple positions?

Yes, you can create multiple positions for each employee via their employee profile. For example, if an employee works as a forklift operator and a pick and packer, you can create different positions.  Each one can be configured with its own pay rate, rules, and allowances. It will then be referenced when you roster your employees and generate their pay slips.

Can foundU help me calculate pay and allowances for multiple awards?

You can configure the settings for multiple awards using foundU. When calculating what entitlements should be applied for a shift, the award interpretation engine will reference the position worked via the employee’s profile. For example, if an employee is a long haul driver, you can ensure that they receive the right allowances for their shift based on the kilometres travelled, the timing of the trip, and the number of drops made by tracking this data when they submit their shifts.

Does foundU’s payroll system automatically calculate shift penalty rates?

All hours are run through our powerful award interpretation and pay rule engine. As a result, you will receive alerts via your roster when penalty rates kick in. This is particularly valuable for morning, afternoon, and night shift work. Penalty rates will also be automatically applied when you generate pay slips, helping you to get every employee’s pay right.

How do I keep employee compliance documents up to date?

You might need to ensure that your employees have provided up to date documents, such as driver’s licenses. You can digitally capture these documents throughout foundU’s configurable employee onboarding journey. foundU also enables you to set up expiry and edit notifications so that you can proactively keep information current.
